- You are simply worried about the choices your child is making.

- You feel helpless and hopeless and are about to give up trying to help your son or daughter.
Please don’t give up!
Their failure is not their fault. They may have simply been given the wrong information. Everything from the movies they see and the television shows they watch to some of the information they are learning in school and society at large has led them to believe that they have little or no control over certain behaviors. If they have been to drug treatment, group therapy or 12 step meetings they are taught that they are powerless over substances and behaviors. They fear that if they ask for help, they are destined to a lifetime of cravings, relapse, therapy and meetings. This could not be farther from the truth. For those of you who have teenagers or young adults, any number of independent studies show that conventional treatment methods yield a 0 to 3% success rate after one year for that age group. The Jude Thaddeus program provides a program that has far greater success with adolescents then any other program or approach used in conventional rehabilitation programs. Understanding that adolescents pose particular difficulties, problems with image, impulse control, rebelliousness and most dominant of all, insecurity, the Saint Jude Retreat House and Baldwin Research Institute, Inc., have developed a program that yields a success rate 20 times that of conventional treatment. In a 1994 project, the Saint Jude Retreat House conducted a program exclusively for adolescents called the Jude Thaddeus Academy. This program yielded a success rate of 70%. That means that 70% went on to live happy and productive lives after leaving the Saint Jude Retreat House.
Your son or daughter is not doomed to a lifetime of meetings, treatment, or therapy due to his or her current drug or alcohol problem.
The Jude Thaddeus Program was founded around teenagers and young adults, and of those who participated in the Baldwin Research Project of 1990 the majority are leading better than average, successful lives today, with no ill effects from their once life threatening substance abuse problems.
In the Jude Thaddeus Program your son or daughter will learn:
- how to be permanently sober and drug free.
- how to build his or her self-esteem;
- how to make better choices in life;
- how to deal with the fears and anxieties that drive him or her to self-medicate and take the seemingly easier way out with drugs and alcohol;
- that they not so different in their thoughts and fears;
- that how they acts or reacts to emotions is within their power to change;
- that drinking and drugging is a learned behavior and choice;
- that life can be far more fun and exciting without drugs and alcohol;
- that the person they can be is fully within their power to realize and make a reality.
